This pot sees use constantly in my kitchen. For soup, pasta, steaming vegetables....The only problem is when I have two things I want to use it for at once! Very sturdy, but use a pot holder to take the lid off; it'll be HOT! Just to note, you need quite a bit of water to cook pasta with this, as the insert does not come very close to the bottom of the pot. Overall, though, excellent pot!

A heavy pot for almost all cooking needs. I've made over twenty quarts of applesauce in it this fall and have had no scorching. The thick bottom heats evenly. I'm very happy with this product.

The pot itself is fine, but I bought it specifically for pasta cooking. Unfortunately, if you fill the pot so that there's enough water in the insert, it boils over. The insert never has enough water for the pasta.
