These skillets are well constructed heavy weight cook pans that can be used both on top of the stove and in the oven.
The only reason you would need to use butter or oil is for flavoring or for the frying aspect of a cooked product as it is not needed to keep the food from sticking to the pans.
They clean easily with a little soap and water. They are truly a good addition to any kitchen,( with the exception of people who have problems with their hands due to the over-all weight of the pans)

The coating is way too thin and everything sticks to the pan, even if using Pam spray. Terrible as compared to pans bought 5 years ago.

Got these two pans, LOVE THEM BOTH. Great size, heat well, they cook evenly, no sticking. GREAT for making eggs, frying, sauteeing, whatever you want you got it. And, a great price to boot. Can't beat it!
